- Abstract
A change in the surface properties of polytetrafluoroethylene films by treatment in nonthermal nonequilibrium plasma generated by atmospheric-pressure plasma jets has been shown. An intensive and uniform improvement in the wettability of the polymer surface is observed on a fairly large area subjected to plasma treatment during the first seconds of exposure to a plasma jet. In contrast to the initial surface, there are pronounced inhomogeneous surface microstructures in the region of plasma jet impact, and a sharp change in the surface wettability is observed at the interface.
