- Abstract
The author reflects on three types of rainforest restoration practised in tropical and subtropical Australia namely, regrowth management, remnant restoration, and the reforestation of cleared land. He comments on the comprehensive evaluation of the outcomes of rainforest plantings for biodiversity conducted by a research programme. He further explores the conditions associated with the success or failure of restoration plantings.
