- Abstract
The article examines cooperation between the U.S. and Canada in enforcement of laws on securities fraud and other financial laws. An agreement by the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) to cooperate in the oversight of securities markets, as well as corporations which operate in both countries, is discussed. Changes to SEC and OSC Memorandums of Understanding with securities regulatory agencies of other countries following the global financial crisis are examined.
