- Title
Making Financial Reports More Effective and Useful.
- Abstract
The article discusses the three key qualitative characteristics of a useful financial report. Relevance is important in order for investors and other users to easily understand and make decisions with the use of statistics on the company's financial position, performance and risks. Financial statements' two main issues are complexity and inconsistency, but with the release of the Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting (ACIFR) of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reporting became more easier to understand.
