- Abstract
Yu Garden, built by Qi Biaojia in the late Ming Dynasty, was a famous garden in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. According to historical documents such as Diary of Qi Zhongmin Gong, Comments of Yu Hill, and Extended Records of Yu Hill, the construction process of Yu Garden could be divided four phases: the formation period, the development period, the improvement period, and the decline period. A total of 80 attractions in Yu Hill were sorted out to provide basic materials for the restoration of the Yu Garden over a period of time. The restoration time was the April of 1637, March of 1640, and May of 1645. The study found that there were differences between the three restoration maps and the previous restoration map based on the Comments of Yu Hill.
