- Abstract
The article discusses the advice of NamPower, Namibia's state electricity, to put up major investments projects on ice to solve the energy crisis in the region. According to Berthholdt Mbuere, NamPower's chief operating officer, new mines must wait until 2009 to get power. The company explained that Namibians need to reduce electricity usage sine Namibia's domestic generating capacity of electricity fell short. It is also mentioned that the worst hit will be on the mining operations of Namdeh Diamond Corporation.
