- Abstract
The article presents a study of the impact of a resident-led healthy active living (HAL) among school-age children attending an outpatient paediatric residents' continuity clinic (RCC). Topics discussed include the program using the American Academy of Pediatrics 5210 recommendations of 5 portions of fruits and vegetables, 2 hour screen time, 1 hour physical activity and 0 sugar-sweetened beverages daily. Also mentioned are results showing that a HAL counseling improved child health habits.
