- Abstract
In the article "Broadband, Plasmon-Modified SnSe2 Photodetector Based on LNOI Thin-Film Platform," Xiaoli Sun, Feng Chen, and their colleagues propose a method to enhance the photodetection capabilities of surface SnSe2 nanosheets. They suggest encapsulating silver nanoparticles within the Lithium niobate on insulator structure to manipulate the light field distribution through the localized surface plasmon resonance effect. This modification significantly improves the optoelectronic properties of the SnSe2 nanosheets, resulting in a 1912-fold increase in photodetection capabilities. The authors provide a detailed analysis of their findings and offer insights into the potential applications of this technology.
