Goto, Hiroki
- Abstract
The article discusses the procedures for the management of the color of porcelain laminate veneers (PLV) based on the color of teeth abutments. It discusses the importance for dentists and dental technicians to collaborate when preparing tooth for PLV as procedures to fabricate esthetic porcelains are made difficult by the limited spaces. It says that color controls of abutment teeth, understanding porcelain color and opacity must be considered during PLV fabrications due to water absorptions that may alter values of PLV. Meanwhile, it presents case reports showing the use of different PLV opacity controlling methods such as Screening Porcelain and Opacious Body Porcelain of Super Porcelain AAA (Noritake). It concludes that prior to the reports PLV fabrication varies in each situation.
