- Abstract
The author explores the legal aspects of performing marriage ceremonies in Utah. He cites his own experience where in he initiated the wedding of his own daughter after being qualified with ministerial power. He mentions the important part of Utah's Code section on marriages. He emphasizes that registrations for ministers through Internet or by electronic mails are still valid provided that the applicant is in regular communion with a religious society. The author futher notes that ministerial powers are not only limited in performing marriages but also for granting absolutions.
