- Abstract
The article focuses on the functions of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), a statutory body that was formed through the Engineering Profession Act (EPA) of 2000. It says that ECSA was formed to regulate professional engineers and to encourage government to create actions to protect public health and safety and improve engineering services standards. It adds that the Engenius career guidance programme of the ECSA was designed to encourage students to consider engineering career.
