- Abstract
The local television channels are means for the socialization of contents that reflect the daily life and traditions of the place where it is framed. The processing of audiovisual information on local television is an area that has been little addressed since scientific production. There is a shortage of tools and instruments in the methodological order to diagnose the processing of audiovisual information on local television. There are specific techniques and procedures that allow the processing of information, but that are limited to traditional technical documentary processes: classification, cataloging, indexing and summary. The local television by its characteristics requires means and specific models that allow to diagnose the processing of audiovisual information of the materials they produce. The objectives of the study are: 1) to design an instrument to diagnose the processing of audiovisual information on local television and 2) to validate the instrument designed through a case study. To obtain results, methods were used at the theoretical and empirical levels. An instrument based on two dimensions is designed: 1) processing of audiovisual information and 2) formal technical aspects present in the processing of audiovisual information that reflect local content. The processing of audiovisual information is diagnosed on the local television Centro Norte Televisión, being valued as regular due to the ignorance of the staff of the institution and the non-performance of the technical documentary processes correctly
