- Abstract
The article discusses the development of the Burbank Jewish Community Center in Burbank, California. Focus is given to various important events in the center's early history, including the official incorporation of the Burbank Jewish congregation in 1946 and the establishment of a building committee for the construction of a permanent home for the congregation. The leadership of Rabbis Aaron Werner and Julian White is noted, as is the establishment of Camp Shalom in 1949 and the center's High Holiday Services.
