- Abstract
When anchored to nanoITO (indium tin oxide), the ruthenium chromophore–catalyst assembly shown acts as an electrocatalyst for water oxidation, with O2 evolution occurring at an overpotential of 230 mV in 0.1 M HClO4. The potential response of the electrode points to 3 e−/2 H+ oxidized [RuaIIIRubIVO]5+ as the active form of the assembly.
