- Abstract
The article offers information on the late quaternary stratigraphy and paleoclimate of the Ladakh region in India. It informs that stratifications are present in river valleys and hill slopes as fluvio-glacial, lacustrine deposits in the form of terraces, moraines and debris. The deposits have caused varying climatic conditions. It claims that the cooling in Leh, India occurred before global cooling. It mentions opportunities available in the Leh region for quaternary research.
