- Abstract
A literary critique of the 1925 novel "Heart of a Dog" by Mikhail Bulgakov is presented, examining spiritual, cultural, and political themes. It analyzes the story as a satire on Soviet socialism and Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin. The author also comments on linguistic, domestic, and religious elements in the novel and considers depictions of food, hunger, and the relationship between man and dog.
