- Abstract
The article evaluates whether California should continue to follow its outdated statutes regarding cyberbullying or it should criminalize cyberbullying. It discusses several California's cyberbullying statutes, including the Assembly Bill 86, which provides information on the California Education Code regarding pupil safety. It informs that the Bill 86 prohibited the suspension or expulsion of a student from a school unless a principal determines that a pupil commenced a serious act.
