- Abstract
The article focuses the development and the condition of the separation of powers doctrine under the California Constitution law. It discusses the evolution of California's effort to forge a middle ground and places it in the context of the federal separation of powers doctrine. It then describes the core powers analysis as articulated by the California Supreme Court. It also offers a clarification of the said analysis.
