- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which investigates the relationship between shift working and occupational exposure to noise on blood pressure (BP) of the workers of rubber manufacturing companies. It reports an increase in the rate of hypertension and systolic and diastolic BP among shift workers who were exposed to noise higher than permissible limit. It suggests regular physical examinations of noise exposed shift workers to assess the cardiovascular system, BP and auditory system.
