- Title
La obra que salvó a Caracas de una crisis más aguda del servicio de agua potable.
- Authors
Hidalgo López, Érika
- Abstract
The article highlights the importance of the Taguaza-Taguacita water pipeline in Caracas, which was inaugurated in 1997 to supply drinking water to the city. This project was developed by Hidrocapital as an alternative to increase water supply during an extreme drought. Although the completion of the Tuy IV project is still expected, the pipeline between Taguaza and Taguacita is crucial to ensure a stable water supply in Caracas. The need to adjust financial management and business models to address environmental conservation, climate change, and social inequality challenges is raised, and the importance of a socially responsible business model to maximize shareholder wealth is highlighted.
