- Abstract
The article focuses on the effect of the 2006 amendments to the federal rules of civil procedures regarding electronic discovery. It states that the amendments were introduced because of the increasing use of electronically-stored information (ESI) in the claims or defenses which in turn increases the cost of electronic discovery. It argues that the amendments help to low the expense on the civil justice system and help in the fulfillment of the just, speedy, and inexpensive justice system.
