- Abstract
The article looks at the system of knowledge and its management in the profession of social work. Knowledge management in the field of social work is different from that of engineering, law or medicine. There is an assumption that a body of knowledge exist that is communicated within the field by various channels, but advancing of this knowledge by systematic means or verifying it has been missing from the practice. Content analysis method of social work literature is used to examine concept of relationship, subject-object confusion, problem of perception and research design in social work. Focusing on perception and relationships, the author feels that a more systematic and scientific verification is needed to make them more clear and precise to social workers. He proposes to define the terms, followed by understanding the concept of circumstances. Most importantly, experiments should be carried out into different aspects of social work to improve the veridicality of perception and, therefore of the quality of knowledge in social work.
