- Abstract
This letter published in the Journal of Neurology discusses a case of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) in a multiple sclerosis (MS) patient treated with interferonβ1a (INFβ1a). PRES is a clinical syndrome characterized by various symptoms and can be caused by different factors, including certain medications. The case described in the letter involved a 34-year-old woman with MS who developed PRES along with malignant hypertension. The patient's condition improved after discontinuing INF therapy and receiving antihypertensive treatment. The letter also discusses the relationship between PRES and immune-modulatory drugs used to treat MS.
