- Abstract
The article features the Puya (P.) mima, Bromeliaceae from Central Peru. P. mima has been discovered by P.C. Hutchison of the Department of Cajamarca, Province Jaen near San Felipe, in October 1964. P. mima has a simple, glabrous with few flowers inflorescence which is not a common characteristic of these genus. It contains big, zygomorphic flowers found at the tip of their long pedicel but they do not have ferruginous hair or the white petals common to their group. The capsules for pollination are big which is uncommon of this species.
