- Abstract
The article describes a social marketing project addressing issues of land use, agriculture and plant health, and developing strategies to promote urban Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in the lake Monona watershed in the city of Madison and Dane County, Wisconsin. Based on concept of social marketing, a relationship was nurtured with the houshold employing professional lawn and garden care. A survey was created and tested using guidelines from social marketing literature, and a Web site was designed and developed to propagate the project's results.
