- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of racial and ethnic identities on the experiences of professionals in librarianship and indexing. It highlights the lack of diversity in these fields and the importance of creating supportive communities for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) individuals. The article also explores the efforts made by professional organizations to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion and the need for continued progress in this area.
