- Title
Esa cierta animalidad. ¿Se cerró un círculo entre Russell y Wittgenstein?
- Authors
Santibáñez, Cristián
- Abstract
The hypothesis under discussion here is that there is conceptual similarity between Russell's idea of instinctive/intuitive belief as expounded in The Problems of Philosophy, and Wittgenstein's idea of a hinge proposition as presented in On Certainty. As conceptual similarities need qualifying in order to be precise, this paper will discuss the similarity by considering its limits, which will be anchored in the philosophy of 'common sense' and the problems of scepticism.
