The article offers information on the heroines found in the books of French author abbé d'Aubignac. The topics discussed include the characteristics of the moralistic writing of France during 17th century, the study titled "Woman Triumphant: Feminism in French Literature" by Ian Maclean that investigates the origin and concept of powerful women during the said period, and the influence of moralistic writings on moralists such as Nicolas Caussin, Nicolas Angenous, and Jacques Du Bosc.
