- Abstract
The article reports on the natural biological treatment of drinking water discusses at the symposium of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) in Denver, Colorado. It mentions its reliance on bacteria for mediating electron transfer among dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and oxidize compounds. An overview of aerobic biofiltration and misconceptions on biofilters is also presented.
