- Abstract
The article discusses U.S. conservationist opposition to a so-called "Great Land Grab" between 1946 and 1947. According to the article, members of the American National Live Stock Association (ANLSA) and the National Wool Growers Association (NWGA) met in Salt Lake City, Utah, in August 1946 to discuss legislation for transferring public domain lands to private ownership. The article states that opponents of such legislation criticized the potential precedent for privatization of public lands.
