- Abstract
To address the shortcomings of multi-dimensional nonlinear search on traditional maximum likelihood (ML) estimation of DOA estimation with large computational effort and slow speed of traditional grid search, a maximum likelihood DOA estimation of joint estimation of narrowband signal frequency orientation based on tuna swarm optimization (TSO) algorithm is proposed, which embodies good estimation performance. The simulation results show that the algorithm has an accurate angle and frequency estimates for a single source; it has faster convergence and lower root mean relative square error than the estimates based on the squirrel search algorithm (SSA), the sine cosine algorithm (SCA), the atomic search optimization (ASO) and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm for different numbers of sources.
