- Abstract
The article presents an interpretation of Genesis 22:1-9, which tells the story of the binding of Isaac and Abraham's faith. Topics discussed are theological problem of God demanding family violence relating to Abraham's assumption that God demanded him to sacrifice his son, child sacrifice as a test of Abraham's faith, challenge of preaching family violence due to cases of sexual abuse of children by religious adults, and the Muslim interpretation of consent and mutual power sharing.
