- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated a series of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the genes for association with obesity. A total of 25 SNP were genotyped in Finns with extreme obesity and in lean subjects. Tables are presented which show the clinical characteristics of obese and lean subjects and the allele frequencies of the SNP genotyped in the subjects. Results indicated that ENPP1 haplotype showed evidence for association with adult-onset morbid obesity in Finns.
