- Abstract
The article discusses research which was conducted to investigate the role of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and DRB1 alleles in chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) in Greek patients. Researchers evaluated 40 Greek CIDP patients. They found that there was a negative association between HLA and CIDP and that CIDP patients had higher frequencies of the DRB1 allele.
