- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 5-year-old American Paint horse mare suffered from acute lameness and swelling of the left carpus. It states that medical radiographic examination revealed no osseous abnormalities but ultrasonographic examination revealed disruption of the accessary ligament of carpal flexor tendon. It mentions that the horse was initially treated with orally administered phenylbutazone drug and hydrotherapy and then recommended for surgical evaluation.
