The author comments on an essay which is a reflection on the crucial theme that was discovered in the Teaching Theology and Religion consultation roundtable held in May 2008 at Texas Christian University which aimed to bring together women of color teaching religion and theology. Topics covered include structural stereotyping of women of color scholar-teachers and the logics of white supremacy, teaching religious/theological studies in an imperial university, and academic citizenship.
