- Abstract
The article discusses the judicial philosophy of the U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Robert H. Jackson, referencing his judicial opinions and the books he authored, including the books "The Supreme Court in the American System of Government" and "The Struggle for Judicial Supremacy." Biographical information on Jackson, including his birth in Spring Creek, Pennsylvania, growing up in a putatively self-reliant family and his service as the U.S. Attorney General, is provided. An overview of Jackson's referencing of literature when espousing his philosophy of law is also provided. The philosophy of Jackson and the U.S. Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter on the relationship between law and politics is discussed.
