The article discusses the English creole dialect in Great Britain and controversy surrounding its orthography. Subjects addressed include the evolution of the creole dialect in Great Britain, confusion in the relationships between English and English-lexicon creoles in the Caribbean, and illustration of variations in spelling of creole dialects. Also mentioned are the ideological and racial issues surrounding the spelling controversy.
