- Title
Beyond Workers' Compensation: A New Vision.
- Authors
Young, Casey L.; Polakoff, Philip L.
- Abstract
As of 1992, some states in the U.S. have still not passed the essential recommendations of the National Commission on State Workers' Compensation Laws, while cost pressures are causing other states to retreat from the basic objectives outlined by the commission. The authors of this article propose that there should be a new search for alternatives. Their article suggests that the reform efforts over the past decade provide evidence that there are serious issues that may not be resolved by a traditional workers' compensation system.
