A biography of Adalbert Fenyes, a twentieth century entomologist, is presented. The married thirty-four year old Hungarian physician and naturalist Fenyes (1863-1937) rented a house in Pasadena, California in 1897 with the intention of permanently leaving the Old World and residing in this growing Far Western City with his American heiress wife Eva Scott Fenyes.
