- Abstract
The article presents a case study about a 36-year-old pregnant patient with diffuse cerebral swelling due to intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) associated with haemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelets (HELLP) syndrome. Topics discussed include outcome of the physical and laboratory examinations performed which revealed ICH and thrombocytopenia, the worsening of the patient's headache even with continued cerebrospinal fluid drainage, and results of the postmortem brain examination done.
