Two Guides to Information Sources.
- Authors
Romig, Tom
- Abstract
The article discusses two new sources of information for the researcher. One is a guide to sources of business information. The other is a handbook of available sources of regional and local statistics and other socioeconomic data. "Encyclopedia of Business Information Sources," provides details on both live and print sources of information, including specialized encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, periodicals, abstract services, trade associations, professional societies, almanacs, and manuals. In addition, commercially available on-line databases are covered. Under each subject, a complete citation is provided for each source mentioned, including the address of the publisher, place of publication, price, etc. In order to provide a single convenient guide to regional data available for a wide range of subject interests, Gale Research Co. has published "Regional Statistics: A Guide to Information Sources." Through its subject approach, "Regional Statistics," provides easy access to regional and local data published by chambers of commerce, industrial development agencies, banks and utility companies, regional agencies, marketing research organizations, and university bureaus of economic and business research.
