- Abstract
The article focuses on the Zellerbach Paper Co. in San Francisco, California. Zellerbach Paper Co. was established by Anthony Zellerbach in 1872 after Adolph Falk failed to continue his business A. Falk & Co. Zellerbach worked as an independent broker that principally sells the stock of Remington & Co. Jacob C. and Isadore, sons of Zellerbach both assisted their father in the business and later formed the A. Zellerbach & Sons firm. Isadore established the Anthony Zellerbach Co. and expanded the firm by opening new plants, subsidiary companies, and new products that gathered international attention. The Zellerbach Corp. was created in 1924 as a holding company that organized its subsidiary firms such as Zellerbach Paper Co., Sanitary Products Co., and National Paper Products Co.
