- Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of administrative problems on the job performance of heads of secondary school. The study also aimed to investigate the head teachers' views on the reasons for the problems and ways in which the problems may be solved. Design/Methodology/Approach: The survey research method was used for this study. Quantitative analysis was used to analyze the data. An Independent sample t-test was used to find out the differences between the genders and Pearson r correlation was computed to determine the effect and relationship of head problems with job performance. Findings: The result of this research indicates that administrative problems have a great effect on heads' job performance. It is also concluded that there is a strong negative relationship between Heads' administrative problems and job performance. Where administrative problems increase their job performance decreases. Implications/Originality/Value: The implications of the present study is of great importance for the educational administrators as they will get a thorough insight of administrative problems effects on job performance of their employees and the coping techniques.
