- Abstract
Excavations in Tuchoměřice in the years 1997-1998 and 2000 on an area of six hectares identified the settlement areas of two Eneolithic cultures (Jordanów and Řivnáč), including a rondel at the outskirts of these areas. The upland site is situated in an open, non-strategic location. Information was obtained regarding the structure of the Jordanów culture settlement area. The later phase of the earlier stage of this culture was separated. The carbon-14 date determined from clay pit no. 13 was 4250-4000 BC. A solitary skeletal grave with atypical attributes was interpreted as a foundation sacrifice related to the construction of the rondel. - The circular palisade with a rectangular extension represents a heretofore unknown form of rondel architecture. If the Early Eneolithic age of the rondel is confirmed, the feature represents an Epilengyel-type rondel whose former complex form was reduced to its central part - the palisade ring. - Řivnáč culture features were discovered at two locations. The clay pit at location A was secondarily used as a cult site (one of the clay pits had a Schlitzgrube-type shaft with bukrania and a carbon-14 date of 3121-2741 BC, as well as a pottery assemblage with an atypical composition). The arrangement of features at location B indicates dispersed households. The beam grooves in hut 11 are proof that the builders were aware of the technology of building on a foundation frame. The carbon- 14 date from clay pit 12 was 3030-2880 BC.
