- Abstract
The article discusses the effectiveness of prosthetic reconstruction of the gingival tissues in dental esthetics. It states that surgical reconstruction of edentulous areas is essential to create a balanced gingival architecture and also states the importance of healthy and normal gingival tissue. Information is presented that dentists should maintain integrity of the gingival papillae because the accumulation of plague leads to papilla inflammation and gingivitis. It informs that gingival ceramic into fixed prostheses allows for artificial reconstitution of the alveolar ridge and it not only improves the esthetic appearance, but also phonetics and lip support.
