- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effects of sorghum stalks and vegetation feeding on rabbits using biochemical and hematological parameters. The researchers randomly divided 18 rabbits of almost six months of age into three groups, which they separately caged at the experimental shed of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. They took blood samples from the marginal ear veins of the rabbits using disposable syringes. They speculated that the toxicity may be caused by the nitrate derivatives in combination with other elements associated with sorghum stalks, which heightened its toxicity for rabbits.
