- Authors
Zulu, Itibari M.
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the correct name for discipline of Black and African studies. It argues on the term "Africana Studies" as the correct name for the discipline, saying that the term was created to describe list of books or other materials which are related to Southern Africa. It explores the theory of James E. Turner who conconsiders "Africana Studies" to be more formal for the discilpne rather than the term "Black Studies." Moreover, it suggests the use of the term"Africology."
