- Abstract
The article examines the intersection of religion and politics that directly influenced political responses to the Great Depression in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Topics discussed include intra-regional political division between a conservative Alberta and a socially-democratic Saskatchewan, the influence of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and the Briercrest Bible Institute (BBI), and the tension between militancy and evangelism.
