- Abstract
The article focuses on the study conducted to determine the risk factors associated with psoriasis for hypogonadism in male patients. It mentions risks associated with several conditions including dyslipidaemia, visceral obesity and diabetes in psoriasis patients which impacts severity of the skin disease. It also discusses the effect of leptin hormone produced by adipocytes, in promoting hypogonadism by direct inhibition of Leydig cell steroidogenesis.
